Are you asking for only superuser permission or do you want to install a custom ROM? I'll give tell you how to gain superuser rights - well that what you call rooting.

You will need to have motorola drivers installed on your PC (this is for windows) Please download the msi package here http://www.mediafire.com/?8rb7bpvp2b9vy2f

Download the MotorolaOneClickRoot.zip file from this link http://www.mediafire.com/?g226n7as6cb1y6e.

Unzip it to any location on your windows machine.

On your phone go into  Settings>Applications>Development and check the box for USB Debugging.

Plug phone into your computer and select “Charge Only” mode.

Open the folder in which you have unziped  MotorolaOneClickRoot.zip and run MotorolaOneClickRoot.exe.

You can follow the onscreen instructions and you'll have your phone rooted.

If  you want to install a custom ROM please don't forget to take a backup.. you can use Titanium Backup before going ahead with installing a new ROM
